Role Models for Models - Grassroots Campaign
Total Spend: $500 (credit) on Facebook Ads
Total Reach: Website traffic increased 83%, Engagement over 250,000 unique engagements
Bonus: Jewelry featured on the cover of Washington Post and during a Ted Talk
The jewelry studio had a limited budget that didn't allow for hired models, hair, or make-up artists. This campaign focused on highlighting incredible people in the local community in an editorial format. All models were asked to pose in a way that made them feel powerful. They were interviewed about their passions, what made them feel confident, and what they loved most about the jewelry.
They were not paid, they were given all of the photographs free of charge and asked to share the posts on their social media. Everyone received a piece of jewelry as a thank you. Not only did our role models post their editorials, they continue to wear their jewelry and act as brand advocates for the brand. After launching the campaign, the jewelry's online presence doubled. The photos were featured on the front page of The Washington Post and as a profile picture for a Ted Talk Speaker.

Boese Brothers Brewery Website Revamp
Boese Brothers opened three years ago with a website that was, as one of the owners considered, the 'black eye' of their company. With input from both owners, I created a new website that captures the fun, energetic, energy of both locations. I am currently working on a new website for their sister location in Santa Fe, NM.

Role Models for ModelsI've always been frustrated with the way media portrays role models for young children. Often times, kids are looking up for these models because of how they look, how they act, or how relevant they are in the media. I struggled with my own body and confidence issues for years before realizing that I can feel beautiful because of the things I have accomplished instead of how I look.
This work has been featured in local news and all of our Role Models have been making the news (while wearing Meltdown Studio) for their accomplishments. Deb Haaland was photographed in the NY Post wearing her Meltdown Studio earrings during orientation in Washington D.C. You can see the full campaign here. |
A Week With ________ (Working Title)- A Nonfiction Novel
I've wanted to write a book since I could start reading, I just never could figure out what I wanted it to be about. In the summer of 2017, I embarked on a two week European 'vacation' with my parents, brother, brother's girlfriend, 90 year old grandpa, and grandmother.
I explore our complicated family dynamic (and melt downs) as we try to navigate on a tiny houseboat that no one knows how to drive, in a country where we don't speak the language, on a trip everyone forgot to plan.
Trust me when I say, the first draft of this book wrote itself. I am currently editing the first copy and will be giving status updates in my newsletter.
